Adams speaks on Univ. budget cuts
Issue date: 9/5/08 Section: News
As the University faces budget cuts, President Michael Adams has scheduled two forums to speak about the University's budget.
With the budget cut preparations already at 6 percent, the University is cutting back on health benefits for employees and possibly raising tuition or fees for students.
The first will be today from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in Masters Hall at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education. The second forum will be Sept. 17 from 10:30 a.m. until noon in the Tate Student Center Theater.
Adams will give a formal presentation and allow time for questions. The forum will be streamed live at www.uga.edu and saved on the site for later viewing. Check www.redandblack.com Friday afternoon for a story.
