Defensive end Demarcus Dobbs' 78-yard interception return for a touchdown made the game 28-0 before halftime, and running back Knowshon Moreno rushed for 168 yards and three touchdowns to cap it off.
"I certainly feel better after this game than I did last week," head coach Mark Richt said.
Included in Moreno's 18 carries was one in the second half when he literally hurdled over a Central Michigan defender and drew oohs and ahhs from the Sanford Stadium crowd.
Aside from Dobbs and Moreno's flashy plays, the defense stood strong a week after Richt said it "didn't finish."
"I think we did a great job. It really didn't start with the game it started before in the week in how we went into practice, how we prepared. It started there," said linebacker Rennie Curran, Georgia's leading tackler with 11.
LeFevour, a darkhorse Heisman candidate who had 500 more total yards than Tim Tebow last season, had a quiet 250 yards passing and just 19 yards rushing.
"I thought that LeFevour was everything everyone was talking about," Richt said.
