Actor/producer Seth Green, however, didn't stop at childhood. Through "Robot Chicken," his brainchild, he thought up the most bizarre toy situations that are likely to corrupt the memory of one's beloved youthful memories.
Though "Robot Chicken" aired its finale last night, a quick turnaround time ensures that the season three DVD releases Tuesday.
The 2-disc set includes some cool extras that are sure to please diehard "Adult Swim" fans.
The special features include a series of short video documentaries giving a behind the scenes look at the show, a tour of the "Robot Chicken" offices, animated storyboards of skits that were cut from the show, director commentary and more.
ROBOT CHICKEN
Grade: A-Verdict: Season three is just as funny, but almost incomprehensibly obscure.
It is a mixed bag of fun, though. The "Robot Chicken" tour and the video documentaries were interesting, but most of the deleted scenes and skits were justifiably omitted and therefore aren't even worth watching.
Action-figured cameos of the third season include Mr. Rogers, Jesus, Barbie, Ludacris and Skeletor.
The third season was hilarious overall, although there were a few episodes that left me scratching my head with the incredibly obscure references used in the show. It's not much different from the past two seasons, but that's not saying anything bad at all.
Season three proves why "Robot Chicken" was Adult Swim's highest rated show in 2007, and reasonably priced at $24.99, this is a good buy for any "Robot Chicken" fan.
