A Cedar Shoals High School student made a gun threat during class on Oct. 9.

A 15-year-old student at Cedar Shoals High School was taken into custody for bringing a loaded firearm to school on Dec. 12, according to an Athens-Clarke County police report.

The firearm was stolen from a recent entering auto incident and was used in two drive-by shootings, the report said.

The student has been charged with possession of a firearm on school grounds and two counts of aggravated assault in relation to the previous shootings, the report said.

The juvenile has been taken to the Gainesville Regional Youth Detention Center.
