White Rabbit Collective
The Atlanta-based rock band Kilroy Kobra will play first at the 40 Watt Club, followed by a set by Athens pop band Lucky Kitty and local folk group Couchlocked. Headlining is a musical ensemble called White Rabbit Collective, featuring local talent and headed by White Rabbit Productions producer Nick Bradfield. Tickets are $5 and doors open at 8 p.m.
The first band playing The Foundry Friday night is Betsy Franck, a Southern rock artist hailing from Virginia. Following Franck will be Ty Manning & Friends, a collaboration of local musicians. Headlining is the Athens rock band Dangfly. Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door. Doors open at 8:30 p.m.
Eureka California, a garage rock duo, will play first at the Caledonia Lounge. Next, the rock band the Split Squad will perform. Headlining is the indie rock band Dressy Bessy. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Doors open at 8 p.m.
Daniel Lee Band
The Georgia Theatre will host the country-inspired rapper Charlie Farley on Friday night. Following this, will be the headlining act and Athenian Southern rock group the Daniel Lee Band. Doors open at 8 p.m., tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
There will be two performances at the Georgia Theatre Rooftop Bar. At 9 p.m., local post-punk band the Hot Place will perform, followed by a 10 p.m set from songwriter David J. Doors open at 8 p.m, tickets are $25. An additional free DJ performance by Crowe and Wardaddy will follow starting at 11 p.m.
The VG Minus
The Athens’ surf-rock group Forbidden Waves will play a set at the Caledonia Lounge, followed by the alt-rock band Bishops. Next, the Grawks, a local garage-punk group, will perform. Headlining the night will be the Athens-based pop-punk trio, the VG Minus. Doors open at 9 p.m., tickets are $5-7.
Kiran Fernandes will kick off the Saturday night setlist at the Flicker Theatre & Bar with a solo set. Next a set by the band Aural Oceans. Following this will be local folk-inspired musician Jacob Sunderlin. Headlining is the Texas-based experimental guitarist Andrew Weathers. Doors open at 9 p.m.
The 40 Watt Club will host the Atlantean indie-folk group Pony League, followed by the Americana-pop group Have Gun, Will Travel from Florida. Headlining is the Athens-born and -bred five-piece band Radiolucent, bringing pop-inspired rock and country. Tickets are $5, doors open at 8 p.m.
Fuiste, an experimental garage-rock group will be playing first at the Caledonia Lounge. Next, the popular punk rock band Nihilist Cheerleader will play. Headlining the night for their album release show is the Athens math-rock duo Art Contest, playing songs from their June album “Two Songs.” Doors open at 9 p.m., tickets are $5-7.
