The University of Georgia State Botanical Gardens in Athens opened up its new children's garden to the public on Saturday, March 23. The Alice H. Richard's children's Garden is a 2.5-acre interactive outdoor classroom that includes a tree house, a canopy walk in the trees, creature habitats, hands-on garden plots, an underground zone, edible landscapes and a pond. The outdoor learning and play facility hopes to bring new and younger faces to the botanical gardens.
