"Out of all the things we do, this is the one thing that makes the children’s librarians feel grounded and normal," said Evan Bush, children's librarian at the Athens-Clarke County Library.

Since March, librarians in the Athens Regional Library System have produced virtual story times for children and families. Some librarians record these 30-minute-long sessions in their homes, while other are able to record from their local branch buildings. The story times can be found on the library's Facebook page. Most are streamed live to allow for audience feedback, and each session will stay on the page for families to watch at their convenience for about a month. The Athens Regional Library System also offers curbside book pickup, summer reading programs for all ages, and live streamed special educational events.
