The Classic City Rollergirls brought a full crowd to their interleague season opener at the Athens Area Arena on Saturday, Feb. 8. The green team beat the black team 149-119, and the crowd mostly rooted for the black team as they tried to keep up throughout the bouts. Part of the ticket sales went to Boybutante Aids Foundation, and performers from the organization strutted for the audience at halftime. Their next match will be March 14 in Charlotte against the Charlotte Roller Derby.
