Retro Age is a video game shop located in the Georgia Square Mall off of Atlanta Highway in Athens, Georgia. It is owned by Val Fisher, who identifies as Cuban American and was started with family in January of 2014. There is one other location in Asheville Mall in North Carolina, and the store sells, buys and trades games, systems and accessories.

This story is part of The Red & Black photo desk’s series recognizing Latinx and Hispanic owned businesses in Athens. Our photographers started this series to bring attention to Latinx-owned businesses in light of Latinx and Hispanic heritage month and beyond.
