Students and Athens residents gathered in UGA's Tate Student Center Plaza for a sit-in on Friday, Sept. 18, and Thursday, Sept. 17, 2020.

The protest, organized by two UGA third-year students and an Athens resident, demanded that UGA release COVID-19 case numbers daily, add more testing facilities, and practice "better enforcement of rules."

Demonstrations continue Saturday, Sept. 19 with a protest and march at the Arch in downtown Athens. The protest begins at 5 p.m.
