The 10th annual Tri to Beat Cancer was held at Sandy Creek Park on Sunday, Aug. 18, 2019, in Athens, Georgia. Triathletes, duathletes and runners competed on the course at the same time in what has come to be the third-largest triathlon in the state of Georgia. The race benefits the Cancer Foundation of Northeast Georgia, an organization that has provided over $1.7 million in financial assistance to over 3,000 cancer patients in northeast Georgia.
