The University of Georgia Redcoat Band hosted a "pink out" practice on Friday, Sept. 13, 2019, in Athens, Georgia, to show support for the Arkansas State community in advance of Georgia's home football game against the team on Saturday, Sept. 14. Wendy Anderson, late wife of Arkansas State head coach Blake Anderson, died in August after battling breast cancer for two years. Since the band must wear their uniforms during the game, they organized a "pink out" practice to honor Wendy Anderson. Many Georgia fans will be wearing some form of pink at the game on Saturday to show support for the Anderson family.
