The University of Georgia Redcoat Marching Band is hard at work preparing for the upcoming season. Due to COVID-19 precautions, the band will be limited in size, not travel to games and will not have a halftime show unless conditions improve.

To prepare, the Redcoats have been practicing multiple times a week. On Thursday, Sept. 17, 2020 the band gathered on their practice field in the intramural fields complex to rehearse, but quickly had to pack up when rain from Hurricane Sally continued to fall.

Band members wear masks with slits cut in them to allow them to play. All wind instruments have bell covers to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
