Despite having to practice under heavy COVID-19 safety restrictions, recruitment has remained high for the women's club rugby team.

Most drills are designed to keep players six feet apart or more. Players must wear a mask at all times while practicing. This rule is in effect across all club sports with few exceptions. As a result, many clubs have had to suspend practices altogether.

While the team will not play any games this season due to COVID-19, they continue to practice and hold weekly study sessions and workouts. The team is preparing for another semester of socially distanced practices and no games throughout the spring.

Players said they choose to continue practicing because they enjoy the community.

The Red & Black followed along with the players and captains of the team to take an in-depth look at how they are managing during this pandemic.
