We spoke with Alex Suarez about the queer community in Athens, his drag show "Femme," and his life since being a part of the Emmy-nominated short film Classic City Queens. Since the film’s exposure, Suarez has been hosting "Femme" since January. On the first Thursday of every month, Suarez preps his makeup for his show, a show that celebrates intersectionality in Athens at Church Bar. Suarez says that people need to see queer people being happy and successful.
