With a mission to prevent suicide, Nuçi’s Space provides a place for musicians to come together, practice and access free mental health resources and support. Founded after their son, Nuçi, committed suicide in 1996, the Phillips family recognized the need for free, easy access to support and ways of treating depression and other mental health disorders. They decided to create an organization to fight the stigma of living with a mental illness. The space consists 4 practice rooms for musicians to practice, counseling and other mental health resources, equipment for rent, a performance space, and is currently in the process of constructing a back patio and a recording studio. Nuçi’s Space values a culture of kindness and support for all in the community.
