Members of the Athens community filled The Foundry on Saturday, August 24, to support local Athens non-profit, Project Safe and their annual Groovy Nights fundraising event. The theme for this year was 70s vs 80-Lip Sync Edition, where attendees came dressed in their best 70s and 80s costumes, and watched 9 lip sync groups battle on the stage. Donation were made by guests paying $1 to vote for their favorite group, and for every dollar donated, ninety cents went to Project Safe's Programs and Services Division which directly helps battered women and children.
