The Unite ticket won the SGA executive office on Friday, Feb. 28. The first round of voting ended Wednesday, Feb. 26 but without a majority vote being won, Unite and Forward went into a run-off election that ended Friday. Candidates anxiously waited to hear the results which were delayed for an additional two hours as a hearing was held due to sanctions brought against the Forward ticket. At 7 p.m., Unite candidates and friends celebrated as Unite was announced as the winner. Both the general election and the run-off election saw record numbers of voters.
