This week in Athens saw a Halloween-themed Georgia soccer game, a few concerts, a Drag Brunch, a rivalry football game on neutral ground and more. Georgia soccer defeated Florida 1-0 on Halloween night to advance to the SEC tournament, and Perpetual Groover performed a grunge-themed Halloween show at the Georgia Theatre. Mayday Parade performed the first show of its Forever Emo Tour 2019 at the 40 Watt Club on Saturday, and Georgia fans dressed up in costumes for the "World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party," also known as Frat Beach, on St. Simons Island to celebrate before the annual Georgia-Florida rivalry football game. The game was played on neutral ground in Jacksonville, Florida, and Georgia won 24-17, taking back the Okefenokee Oar for another full year. On Sunday morning, Boybutante hosted a Drag Brunch at The National to raise money for those suffering with AIDS in Northeast Georgia.
