This past week in Athens brought a mix of events. Mason Ramsey, also known as "Walmart yodeling boy," performed to a sold-out crowd at the Georgia Theatre on Wednesday, and Rainbow Kitten Surprise performed three sold-out shows, one at 40 Watt Club and two back-to-back at the Georgia Theatre. UGA volleyball defeated Tennessee 3-1 on Friday for the first Bulldogs matchup against the Volunteers this weekend. UGA equestrian defeated South Carolina on Saturday afternoon, and Georgia football won at Tennessee on Saturday evening in the second Tennessee sports matchup of the weekend. On Sunday, the first annual Historic Athens Porchfest drew a large crowd to four historic neighborhoods to enjoy performances by nearly 70 local bands on multiple front porches.
