With the release of the Associated Press Top 25 poll on Sunday, Georgia and Florida's Oct. 27 matchup is now a battle of top-10 teams. No. 7 Georgia will take on No. 9 Florida in Jacksonville for a top-10 matchup between the two teams for the first time since 2008.
Both teams had a bye last week leading up to the game. Florida has one loss on the season to Kentucky, while the Bulldogs head into this game following a 36-16 loss at No. 4 LSU last weekend.
The last time the two teams met while both being in the top-10, Florida won 49-10. However, the Bulldogs defeated the Gators in the last meeting, winning 42-7 in 2017.
The game will be the site of Saturday’s “College GameDay” on ESPN as well as “SEC Nation” on SEC Network.
