Former Georgia defensive tackle Kwame Geathers chose to leave the program following his junior season, a move which may have hurt him as no team selected him in the 2013 NFL Draft in New York City.

Geathers instead signed with the San Diego Chargers as an undrafted free agent shortly after the conclusion of the draft's seventh and final round.

After redshirting his first year at Georgia, Geathers played in twenty games over the next two seasons, collecting 21 tackles and one and a half tackles for a loss, while being named to the All-SEC Freshman Team in 2010.

Geathers saw his most production in 2012 while appearing in all 14 games, and recorded 40 tackles, five for a loss and one sack.
