Tate Ratledge committed to the Georgia football program on Monday morning in a ceremony at his high school.

The four-star prospect is the No. 5 offensive tackle in the country and the No. 39 overall prospect in the class of 2020, both according to the 247Sports Composite.

Ratledge, a 6-foot-6.5, 311-pound native of Rome, Georgia, chose Georgia over Tennessee.

Assuming he signs with the Bulldogs, his first season won't be until the 2020 season. But by then, there is a possibility that both Georgia offensive tackles will be headed to the NFL. Left tackle Andrew Thomas is a first-round prospect. Right tackle Isaiah Wilson will also be draft eligible after his junior season.

Ratledge is the ninth verbal commitment of Georgia's 2020 class.
