The demolition of the Oconee Street United Methodist Church at 717 Oconee St. is scheduled to begin Wednesday at 9 a.m.

Full progress of the demolition process is expected to begin at 10 a.m., starting with the bulldozing of the main entrance of the church.

Construction for the new church will begin in the upcoming weeks, and is estimated to last 18 months.
